Each block, athletes work on new skills - aiming to develop physical skills such as balance and coordination alongside the basic body shapes required for cheer and tumbling! At the end of each 6-week block, athletes receive an award to mark their achievements!
Term time only, and booking must be made before the first session.
Our beginner cheerleading programme is our Fundamentals classes which run throughout the week. We have classes for those age 4, those age 5-8 and those age 8-11. These classes run term time only, and in these sessions athletes work through a booklet to learn new skills. There is the chance to then progress through to our Novice teams at certain points through the year if an athlete wishes to do so.
Our Ninja Tumble Academy is to focus on beginner tumble (gymnastic) skills for those who are not members of our competition teams. Paired with fun activities which teach safe landings, body strength and fitness, our Ninja Tumble Academy is great for any who want to learn to handstand, cartwheel, flip and beyond! Suitable for primary school aged children.
Our Novice Cheer teams are for those who are brand new to cheerleading competitions. We have teams training on a Saturday and new weekday teams starting in November 2024! Our Novice teams are suitable for primary school aged children. Low cost, and just two competitions in a season for these groups, which makes them the perfect entry point for new athletes! The focus of these teams is purely to provide competition experience and build confidence. Athletes will be offered the chance to ‘graduate’ into Prep teams after 1 year in a Novice team.
Our Prep Cheer teams are for those with a little more experience in cheerleading; usually those who have spent at least a year in our Novice programme or those who have had previous cheer experience. These teams start to focus on hitting the scoresheet at competitions, but are a little more relaxed than our Elite Teams in terms of attendance rules and during training time. Athletes will spend a minimum of 2 years on average in Prep Teams before being invited into an Elite Team if they choose to do so.
Our Allstar Elite teams are split by level as well as age. Whilst still lots of fun, our Allstar Elite teams place a much higher focus on the scoresheet, skill development, and commitment to the team. We currently offer levels 1-5 depending on the age group, working with children aged 7 through to adult athletes.
We are immensely proud of our SEND programme at Infinity. We truly believe that cheer is for everyone, and we constantly instil this in all of our athletes. We welcome everyone at Infinity, and our Shooting Stars teams and classes are tailored to those with additional needs. Suitable for age 5 through to adult (please note - currently all ages are together but we would be looking to split this if numbers allow!)
Our competition team athletes can take part in additional tumble classes throughout the week to further progress their individual tumble skills
